The cased Fat Shark transmitter comes with a permanently mounted circular polarized antenna. It is available in two models CE (FSV2462, 25mW) and FCC (FSV2461, lower power, currently liquidation priced).
The Fat Shark transmitter provides license free operation and performance sufficient for multi rotor video photography. A useable range of approximately 300m (CE) and 100m (FCC) is achieved by the pairing the transmitter (equipped with integrated circular polarized antenna) with a similarly equipped Fat Shark headset (which has superior RF sensitivity). We recommend the transmitters be used with a directional panel antenna on the receiver to double the range in the direction of the transmitter.
The cased transmitter is specially molded to clip into the Phantom/GoPro mount (accessory) which mounts the transmitter/antenna in the optimum flight position.
